John owned a plant with boats on the west coast. He needed to make modifications for upgrades on the boats for certain customers. The problem was John couldn’t find an extra deep hole saw to cut through 5.00” of fiberglass from just one side. The back of the boats were partially blocked and it was impossible to cut in from that side. He had to cut in as far as he could with the standard 1-1/2” depth hole saw and dig out the fiberglass as he went along, piling up extra hours of labor and costs which he had to pass on to his customers.
One day John found the TapMaster Xtra Deep QuadStack at PipeMan Products with a 6.00” drilling depth and his problem was solved.
The drilling depths for the Bi Metal units are: 3.25”-3.50”, 4.50” or 6.00” The Blu-Mol Carbide hole saws have a 3 teeth-per-inch design and start with a drill depth of 1-/5/8” allowing for drill depths of 3.25”, 4.50” or 5.70”, using the Bi Metal units as base. The carbide teeth on these steel saws cut aluminum, brass, bronze, steel, and plastic sheets and last up to twice as long as high-speed steel teeth. The body widens at the top to prevent the saw from pushing through your workpiece.
Stan needed to perform a hot tap on a 6x6 size-on size Ductile Iron line and he didn’t have a 2.275” or deeper cutter available for the job because his main cutter was in need of repair. A carbide hole saw repair would normally take 2-3 weeks and to order a new specialty hole saw would take about a month. Stan needed one in 3 days for this important job. Stan was able to find the TapMaster Xtra Deep DoubleStack at PipeMan Products online with a 3.25” drill depth in time for his job. Meta movie 2 4 3 x 4.
Many industries need deeper bi-metal or carbide hole saws for small or important jobs. Most don’t anticipate the longer manufacturing time it takes to order a special fabricated cutter from one of a few custom hole saw fabricators online. Macroplant iexplorer 4 0 2 download free.
The main reason why PipeMan Products decided to manufacture extra deep steel and carbide hole saws was their sister company, Tap Master, Inc., needed deeper readily available toss away high speed steel cutters when performing hot taps and line stops on steel, PVC and copper pipe. They also needed deeper carbide hole saws when tapping into ductile iron, cast iron and A/C pipe.
Over the years many customers have used their DoubleStackTM, TripleStackTM and QuadStackTM Xtra DeepTM cutters for various commercial and private enterprises uses:
- • Waterworks Hot Tapping and Line Stopping
- • Boat manufacturers for fiberglass upgrades
- • Display companies for wooden and metal stands
- • Rail Notching for fence making and roll bars
- • US Navy for cutting Teflon on piers and bow thrusters in hulls
- • Building Contractors for cutting through raised access flooring
- • Roofing Installers for interrupted cuts
- • Electrician for cutting through walls from the outside
- • Any special job needing a deep hole saw and more

The key to making the Xtra DeepTM series is to perfectly cut and weld 2, 3 or 4 hole saws together so they don’t wobble when cutting. May have tried to do this, but it took months for PipeMan Products to perfect this manufacturing process years ago. The main cost is the labor in precisely cutting and welding the units together.
